adrian whitehead, jethro picket, thomas salicky

Join us at Ragtime Tavern on Friday 30th October for a very special night of original music featuring Adrian Whitehead, Jethro Pickett, and Thomas Skalicky. Three sets, three distinctive songbooks.

Adrian Whitehead is a Melbourne songwriter and piano player whose original songs blend layered pop, psychedelia and relational storytelling. His music finds the extraordinary in everyday life — mixing humour, warmth and thoughtful observations with memorable melodies and rich keyboard-driven arrangements. Whether performing intimate solo shows or with a full band, Adrian’s songs draw listeners into vivid musical worlds that feel both familiar and unexpected.

Maverick songwriter/producer Jethro Pickett crafts beguiling, off-kilter recordings, moored by charming melodies and honest storytelling. Currently based in lutruwita/Tasmania where he runs a recording studio, Pickett is revered for his intuitive guitar playing and freak folk-esque songs crafted from a life of playing music around the globe. Jethro has released two albums, ‘By The Time I Get To Wilmot‘ (2012) and ‘France’ (2018). “It’s music with its roots far back in time, delivered with a lot of personality, keeping the melodies always at the core” – I Found Music

Thomas Skalicky is a Melbourne-based songwriter crafting surrealist folk-rock from antique melodies, psychedelic textures and end-of-the-world synth musings. His songs move between indie-folk, alt-country and 70s-inspired rock, exploring love, memory and the strange contradictions of everyday life. His debut EP Voicemail to Self and recent single Pain and Change showcase a distinctive, melodic voice with a taste for the beautifully off-kilter.
