Luke Drohan and George Borthwick are teaming up for a piano and bass duo show at Ragtime Tavern. Having met whilst studying Music at Monash University, Luke and George have separately performed and recorded with various acts locally and overseas. Currently playing together in local ska-influenced band the Skabhangers and pop-rock act the Buzzwells, they present a set of original compositions and covers of ‘post-bop’ works by Keith Jarrett and Steve Swallow, with improvisations reflecting both sincere and whimsical attitudes to their craft, performed under the influence of a shared passion for popular music, coffee and humour.
